For our family vacation this summer, we decided to visit New Hampshire. We stayed on Loon Mountain in the White Mountain region. One of the many beautiful places to visit in the White Mountains is Franconia Notch State Park. On this trip we walked along the Flume Gorge.

Wow, what an experience!

Pictures really don’t do the place justice. Tall cliffs rise up on either side of a narrow river of rushing water. The sounds and energy created by dozens of small waterfalls, and some big ones too, is simply amazing.

My three year old easily maneuvered the lovely ½ mile hike. Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch delighted our whole family.

Preserving National Parks

Our family really appreciates National Parks. As a matter of fact, we visited three on our honeymoon in Southwest US. We enjoyed white-water rafting through the Grand Canyon, and hiking in Zion Canyon and Bryce Canyon.
