Happy Wednesday! This morning I am sipping on one of my go-to morning protein shakes. I make it at least a few times per week at the Perfect Supplement’s Smoothie Station. Chia seeds are high in omega 3 and 6, an excellent source of antioxidants, packed with dietary fiber, and a good source of plant based protein. This shake is tasty enough that you’ll think you are sneaking dessert for breakfast when really its loaded with fiber and healthy fats to keep you full until lunch.
Directions: Pour coconut milk into blender and add 2 tbsp. of chia seeds. Do not blend yet- let the chia seeds soak in the coconut milk for 10 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and blend on high until fully mixed. Pour into a glass and enjoy! This recipe makes 1 large protein shake.
