What Dr. Oz REALLY Said About Green Coffee Bean Extract

Dr. Oz mentioned Green Coffee Bean Extract on his show and the supplement industry went wild. No one had heard of this potential weight loss miracle, and the next minute every supplement company wanted to capitalize.

They did so by telling consumers that Dr. Oz recommended their Green Coffee Bean Extract supplement. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Dr. Oz did not recommend any specific Green Coffee product. In fact, Dr. Oz never recommends particular products, just ingredients that could potentially be beneficial to his viewers’ health.

On the episode that Dr. Oz mentioned Green Coffee Bean Extract, he invited nutritionist Dr. Lindsey Duncan to share his knowledge. Dr. Duncan explained that recent research suggested that Green Coffee Bean Extract could potentially help people lose weight and lower their blood pressure.

The research Dr. Duncan referred to was a study published by the Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Obesity journal. In this study, 16 overweight adults supplemented their diet with Green Coffee Bean Extract.

At the end of the 22 week study, participants had lost an average of 17 pounds.

Dr. Duncan stated that this research was promising and that Green Coffee Bean Extract could be the weapon our company needs in the fight against obesity. He explained that Green Coffee Bean Extract works because of a little thing called chlorogenic acid.

Chlorogenic acid works to slow down the release of glucose into the bloodstream
while increasing metabolism, which could lead to weight loss.

Throughout the entire episode, neither Dr. Oz nor Dr. Duncan recommends a particular Green Coffee Bean Extract supplement. There is not a single endorsement for any particular supplement on Dr. Oz website, either.

If a company says that their Green Coffee Bean Extract supplement is endorsed by Dr. Oz,
it is simply not true. Dr. Oz gave the facts on the potential health benefits of
Green Coffee Bean Extract. He did NOT try to sell any products.
